Christian Faith-Based Accreditation
Ascend Christian University is accredited by the Christian College Accreditation Commission International (CCACI). CCACI is a Christian faith-based accrediting organization serving Christian colleges, universities, seminaries, ministries, and other religious educational institutions. Ascend Christian University maintains Christian accreditation because our institutional mission and academic programs are designed primarily to prepare individuals for Christian ministry, leadership, education, counseling, Biblical studies, theology, entrepreneurship, and service within the Christian community.

Important Accreditation Disclosure
Students should understand that CCACI is a Christian faith-based accrediting organization. CCACI accreditation is not accreditation by the United States Department of Education and is not governmental accreditation or authorization.
CCACI accreditation should not be interpreted as:
• State professional licensure
• Public-school teacher certification
• Licensed clinical or mental-health counselor qualification
• Governmental recognition of a particular profession
• A guarantee of employment or promotion
• A guarantee that credits will transfer to another institution
• A guarantee that another college or university will accept an Ascend degree
• A guarantee of admission to another educational institution
Each college, university, employer, licensing agency, ministry, and organization establishes its own requirements for accepting degrees, credits, and credentials. Students should verify those requirements before enrolling if they intend to use an Ascend degree for a specific professional, licensing, employment, or transfer purpose.
Christian Counseling Disclosure
Ascend Christian University's Christian Counseling programs are intended for Biblical counseling, Christian counseling, pastoral care, ministry counseling, mentoring, spiritual guidance, and other faith-based service.
An Ascend Christian University Christian Counseling degree does not by itself qualify an individual for state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor, psychologist, clinical social worker, marriage and family therapist, or other regulated mental-health professional. Students seeking professional clinical licensure should contact the appropriate licensing board in their state before enrolling.
Christian Education & Teaching Disclosure
Ascend Christian University's Christian Education programs may prepare students to teach or provide educational leadership within churches, ministries, Christian schools, Bible institutes, religious organizations, and other faith-based educational environments where the credential is accepted.
An Ascend Christian University degree does not by itself provide state public-school teacher certification or licensure.
Transfer of Credits & Degree Acceptance
Transfer of academic credit and acceptance of degrees are determined solely by the receiving institution, employer, licensing authority, or organization. Ascend Christian University cannot guarantee the transfer or acceptance of credits or degrees by another institution.
If you intend to continue your education elsewhere, we strongly encourage you to contact the receiving institution before enrolling to determine whether your Ascend coursework or degree will meet its requirements.
